Eric Kunstadt
President of Kunstadt Sports, Eric believes that the strength of Kunstadt Sports lies in the fact that its owners are active and visible in the shop. Eric is the driving force in all strategic decisions. Since the opening of Kunstadt Sports’ Glebe store, Eric’s focus is on making it a great success. So far, his efforts seem to be quite fruitful.
A committed athlete, Eric's best free-time moments are on the slope, tennis courts or on his bike.

Monica Kunstadt-Landon
Kunstadt Sports Comptroller, Monica is a member of Kunstadt Sports Executive Management Team. She is a graduate of Queen’s University and a Physical Education teacher but since her return from Toronto, we are lucky to have her at Kunstadt Sports on a full time basis.

Ron Kunstadt
Vice-President of Kunstadt Sports, Ron is involved in all executive decision-making. In the Ottawa Masters Alpine Ski Racing, he is the one that the most competitive racers strive to beat.
Ron is the chief moving force in the hugely successful annual Kunstadt Open tennis tournaments.

Peter Kunstadt
Member of Senior Management of Kunstadt Sports, Pete is involved in most aspects of the business. Usually working at the Kanata store, he is concerned with general administration and marketing, e-commerce, web site management as well as helping customers on the floor.
An avid skier and downhill racer, Pete tries hard to keep up to his sons, Eric and Ron, on the slopes, tennis courts and bike trails.

Imad El-Ghazal
Imad was one of the founding employees of Kunstadt Sports. His history with the Kunstadt family started decades ago, when Eric Kunstadt discovered him while working at a sporting good s rental place at bank Street. There was an interim period when Imad left Kunstadt Sports to manage a large chain operation and gain valuable experience. He is our General Manager, in charge of operations at all Kunstadt Sports locations.

Sarah Murray
Sarah, our Store Manager for our Kanata and Glebe stores, is one of the most energetic individuals we have ever had the privilege to meet. Her extensive experience in sports retail combined with intimate product knowledge and active sporting life add up to ideal credentials for a successful store manager. In the winter, Sarah enjoys skiing and snowboarding, in the summer, she can often be seen on her road bike.

Cédric Larigaldie
Cédric is our superstar representative and Store Manager at our Kanata store, recently transplanted from France. His extensive experience in snow sports retail and service includes working in the Alps in a major ski and snowboard sales, service and rental outlet. Cédric is an accomplished athlete; just take a look at his snowboard stunts in the Alps and in New Zealand.

Adam Stapley
Adam is a manager at our Glebe store. He is young and enthusiastic, an avid tennis and golf player in the summer and an accomplished skier in the winter.
You will enjoy his friendly, energetic, yet relaxed mannerism and thorough knowledge of sports and related equipment.

Nicholas Matjasko
Nick has come a long way since he joined Kunstadt Sports. He is a highly valuable member of the Kunstadt Sports management team. Nick is now the Assistant Manager at the Kanata store, performing the receiving and inventory functions and using his superb computer skills to act as a "one man IT department". His technical skills seem to be endless: computers, heavy machinery, building wiring, plumbing, you name it, Nick is an expert at it.
Nick continuously makes a vital contribution to the smooth operation of all Kunstadt Sports sites.

Alain Bedard
Alain is a Store Manager at our Kanata store. He is right at home on the retail floor, charming customers with his helpful style. He is an avid snowboarder, skier and cross-country motor biker.

Jeff Hare
Jeff is our Store Manager at the Kanata store. He is the seasoned individual you always wish to meet when you visit a sports retail store. Having the experience of a dozen or so years in sports retail makes him a true expert. Jeff has the demeanor of a true gentleman. He is a family man and his hobbies include skiing and biking.

Doug McQueen
Originally from B.C., Doug spent over three years in the UK working as a policeman. Being a family man with four children, two of whom are young twins, Doug feels more comfortable repairing bicycles, tuning skis and helping customers at Kunstadt Sports than walking the streets and fighting dangerous criminals. Doug is a downhill bike racer and an avid skier.

Mike Plummer
Quite possibly the best bike man in Eastern Ontario (or even the world) Mike is the mainstay of Kunstadt Sports' technical services. Mike provides key technical support in many biking events in the National Capital Region.
Mike is working hard at recovering from an earlier biking injury, hoping to get back in the saddle as soon as possible.

Eric Twers
What is a young man with a chemistry degree doing in a sport store workshop? Doing what he enjoys and is good at, that’s what.
Eric is a Senior Mechanic in our Glebe store. Being an ex- downhill and cross country mountain bike racer, a hockey and lacrosse player and an “80’s style ski instructor”, in combination with serious mechanical talents, makes him a real technical expert.

Gaëtan Seguin
Gaëtan is one of Kunstadt Sports' most experienced technicians, completely conversant in bicycles and skis alike. He is a former Canadian Ski Jumping National Team member and an awesome downhill skier. In his spare time, Gaetan enjoys his motor boat and fishing.

David Banning
Dave has been with us in the capacity of Senior Mechanic for a number of years. He has now reduced his activities to part time to allow him to pursue his other careers. Dave's extensive experience as a ski racer and a ski instructor, his familiarity with all sports and his mechanical aptitude are definitely great assets.

Shawn Banfield
Shawn is the undisputed expert on ski equipment. As the senior coach at
Camp Fortune and an accomplished Masters' racer, Shawn is in the position to assist the most advanced skiers and racers, as well as beginners and intermediates.

Brian Howson
Brian is a member of our Kanata store team. He is an expert snowboarder and BMX bike rider. We are lucky to be able to take advantage of Brian’s four year experience in sports equipment retail. Brian graduated from St. Lawrence College, specializing in graphic design. His hobby is photography and he hopes to one day make it his profession.

Chris Freestone
Chris is one of our highly experienced experts in the Bank Street store. His knowledge of ski equipment is backed up by years of back-country skiing, jumping and otherwise “ripping up the mountain”. Just have a look at the photo of Chris doing a “daffy” over a Volkswagen!!! Of course, you can have an intelligent conversation with Chris about all aspects of biking, snowboarding or tennis, as well.

Robert Goodman
Rob is a full-timer at our Bank Street store. He is a university graduate with honours in criminology. In his spare time, Rob enjoys skiing, golfing, biking and hockey.

Sporty Bruce
Is this a man?? Is this a bird?? It’s Sporty Bruce, Kunstadt Sports’ favourite mascot. Sporty Bruce has been part of the Kunstadt Sports scene for many years now. This happy funny-guy has put smiles on the faces of customers and by-standers alike and will continue to do so for years to come.

Francisco Alvarez
Francisco is our Glebe store tennis expert. He is a competitive tennis player, presently the Head Pro Manager at St. James Tennis Club in the Glebe. In addition to tennis, Francisco plays recreational basketball. During his studies, he was a member of University of Guelph competitive basketball team. He has graduated in Bio-medicine, now training in podiatry. We see a great future in matching his skills with our requirements for professional ski boot and athletic footwear fitting.

Jeremy Tremblay
Jeremy is a young snowboarder taking care of customers on the shop floor of our Kanata store. When not in the store, Jeremy attends local high school. In his past, he was an accomplished soccer player, but he abandoned the sport (too much pressure…), so he just bikes in the summer and waits for the snow to return so he could snowboard again.

Lauren Goodhew
Lauren is a full time bicycle technician, also helping with bike sales on the shop floor from time to time. Her degree in Environmental Politics got her in a variety of European countries where she helped with setting up nature trails, bicycle ramps and other exciting outdoor facilities. This experience has also helped her hone up on her bicycle servicing skills. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys downhill and free-ride bicycle riding.

Ryan Atkins
Ryan is a customer service representative at our Glebe store . In his spare time, Ryan is a competitive mountain biker and an avid cross-country skier. Presently, he is an Engineering student at the University of Ottawa. Ryan brings to his job experience from previous engagements in a number of sport retail establishments.

Aimee King
Aimee was an accomplished downhill ski racer until she switched to snow boarding and became an avid boarder. She is so enthusiastic about her sport that she spent two years in Banff AB doing her thing. Now that she returned to Ottawa, she uses her extensive experience to serve our customers in the Glebe. We are happy to announce that we were successful in convincing Aimee to come back to alpine ski racing. She is now participating in local Masters racing and performing like a champion.

Brandon Maloney
Brandon is another one of the staff that started with Kunstadt Sports in our early days, went away to gain valuable experience and returned to Kunstadt Sports where he belongs. Brandon was 13 when he first joined us! He made a great career which culminated in being promoted to Store Manager in one of the major sport store chains in Southern Ontario. Now he is back, happy to service bicycles and skis, not having to deal with management issues any more.

Justin Angus
Justin is a veteran in our Kanata Service Department, having been with Kunstadt Sports since 2007. Justin is an accomplished freestyle skier and a competitive downhill bike racer.

Anjelica Hodgson
Anjelica has a degree in Biochemistry from University of Maine which she attained on a soccer scholarship. She recently joined our Kanata team and we are happy she did. Anjelica is also a competitive road bicycle racer and a past competitive hockey player. All these impressive references add up to a very impressive all-round athlete and a highly respectable individual. Anjelica’s cheerful mannerism is definitely a great asset in a sports retail store environment.

Corey Montgomery
Corey is a dynamic young man working on the retail floor of our Kanata store. He is a recent graduate of Algonquin College’s “Police Foundations”. He plans to pursue his police career a little later. For the foreseeable future, he will be focusing on his sports retail profession.

Mathieu Bedard
Matt interrupted his college studies to work at Kunstadt Sports. He has served his apprenticeship under the supervision of our best senior mechanics. He has now developed into a highly respectable bicycle and ski mechanic.

Samuel Shields
A transplant from Toronto, Sam is presently a Chemistry student a Carleton University. His love of working with his hands makes him a perfect match with our Service Department at our Glebe store. Sam is a good all-round mechanic; however his strength is clearly in bicycles. Sam is one of the special individuals who ride their bicycle right through the winter. We think that is highly impressive. In his spare time in the winter, Sam rides snowboards recreationally.

Zoë Newell
Zoë is a sales associate working at our Glebe store. Her knowledge of sports equipment combined with a charming demeanor makes her a pleasure to work with. This Carleton University Psychology student is quite a busy athlete. She teaches skiing in the winter and competes in horse back riding in the summer, specializing in English Dressage. Zoë is planning to also add road biking to her regular activities.

Scott Ritchie
On completion of his education at the University of New Brunswick at Fredericton, Scott transplanted himself to Ottawa in July 2009. Talk about a perfect fit: Scott has majored in Sports Management with a minor in Business Administration. He is a keen snowboarder and an accomplished mountain biker. Scott is a valuable member of our Glebe store team.

Neil Schiemann
Neil is our Service Coordinator at the Glebe store. He is a licensed auto mechanic, so no wonder he knows his way around tools. Neil is a successful competitive biker, excelling in road racing, mountain biking and cyclo-cross. In the winter, he enjoys cross country skiing, both skate-skiing and classic.

Mark Cohen
Mark is a mechanic at our Bank Street at Heron store. . He is presently a Mechanical Engineering student at Carleton University.
In the winter, Mark enjoys snowboarding and in the summer, recreational mountain biking.

Logan Reinisch
Logan is working as a mechanic in our Kanata store. He recently completed his studies at Bell High School. In the winter, he is a snowboarder and in the summer, Logan enjoys BMX biking.

Krista Bellinger
Krista started at Kunstadt Sports in June 2009. Being a quick study, she became a very valuable team member in a short time. She is an accomplished mountain biker who is interested in trying new sports at all times. Lately, she has tried rugby and snowboarding. Who knows what’s next… On the cultural side, Krista plays guitar and clarinet.

Laura Elliott
Laura is a great asset to our Bank Street operation. Her knowledge of ski equipment is appreciated by all. She has raced as a member of the Calabogie Racing Team and later coached their I-2 team. Of course, being an accomplished athlete, Laura has expertise in all aspects of sports. Besides her recognized athleticism, Laura studies at Ottawa’s Carleton University to be an Engineer.

Chis Callaghan
Chris started his sports retail career at Kunstadt Sports as a teenager, over a decade ago. His profession took him all the way to Alberta and then back to Ontario. Now he is again at Kunstadt Sports where he belongs. Chris has developed a high expertise in “board sports”, but he is quite an authority on skis and bicycles, as well.

Heather Farmer
Heather is a charming young individual with numerous talents. In the winter, Heather teaches snowboarding at Calabogie Peaks, in the summer she plays competitive soccer at house-league level. Between her job at Kunstadt Sports Kanata store and her athletic activities, she also finds the time to be a full time student.
