It took Fischer several years to develop a new plastic which wasn't so temperature sensitive.   What they discovered in the process was a plastic that also was heat moldable.   The Vacuum boot, available in 2012, is named for the process in which the boot is conformed to the skier's individual foot so that every little or big irregularity is accommodated and the result is a perfectly comfortable boot that fits perfectly.

Every season from May and October, numerous bike enthusiasts meet at Kunstadt Sports to go out and enjoy each other’s company while riding.   Every Monday at 6:00 p.m., rides start from our Kanata and Glebe stores.   They go through beautiful countryside at a reasonable speed and return at the store after about 50 km of riding.   There are also Sunday morning rides that start at our Glebe store at 9:00 a.m. and go through the Gatineau Hills.   Take a look with us at one of the Kanata rides which took place on June 20, 2011.

Élan is introducing an asymmetric ski for 2012 called “Amphibio”.   It features the inside edge with a regular and the outside edge with a reversed camber.   This greatly improves the ease of turn initiation and makes “catching the outside edge” virtually impossible.

Our Jackson, at 3 ½ years of age, is on his third ski season already.   Watch him carve turns at Mont Pakenham, pass another skier and give him the “I am faster than you” look.   We all greatly enjoy our family skiing.

On February 20, 2011, Kunstadt Sports’ Imad El-Ghazal participated in the annual Gatineau Loppett.   We are proud to announce that Imad has completed the grueling 51 km trail in 3:07:19.8 hrs.   Well done Imad.
